Lacey was born in Southern CA in 2011. She was a star at the cattery Channelaire, and won many ribbons at cat shows. She had two litters, and her babies have all become beautiful kitties. (scroll down to see some of her babies who are all grown up now!)

Lacey's owner passed away from a long illness in December 2017. Bonnie Brooks, who I contacted inquiring about retired show cats to adopt, asked if we would be interested in adopting Lacey. This is the first image I ever saw of Lacey.

Lacey when she first arrived:

Soon she settled in!

Lacey is so patient with Nimbus, and just adores him. He also looks out for her. When we put her in the carrier to take her to the vet, he got concerned and jumped on the carrier. We ended up taking him with us to keep her calm. In another instance, we had to put the cone of shame on Lacey due to her abscess, and she was quite distressed. Nimbus immediately came over to her and tried to pull the collar off of her!

Lacey is a smart girl. Even though she is a middle aged cat, she has learned several tricks, including jumping through a hoop, spin around, and shake. She also is now harness and leash trained!
Lacey was certified as a therapy cat by the SF SPCA in 2019.
We met Lacey's babies on Facebook!
